Local civic residence

Information about the future Greenhaven record used for local routing and civic participation.

What local civic residence means

Local civic residence is an administrative territorial record used to connect a person with the correct local area, council information, representatives and participation opportunities.

What it does not decide

Local civic residence is separate from immigration residence, settlement, citizenship and electoral registration. Greenhaven Council does not use a local declaration to make or alter those national or electoral decisions.

When the Greenhaven route can open

The Greenhaven declaration service can open only after the council has commenced the function and the local area information and resident support arrangements are in place.

Current position

Greenhaven Council does not currently operate a local civic residence declaration. When the service opens, this page will explain how to make a declaration, what information is recorded and how the record is used for local council purposes.
