Find the right public service
Use Greenhaven Council’s local information to identify the public body responsible for your enquiry.
Greenhaven Council responsibilities
Greenhaven Council is responsible for its democratic services, communities and neighbourhoods, Community Connectors and local wellbeing, community safety, libraries and archives, museums and heritage, recreation, volunteering and civil society, local economy support, local information and integration, place planning, local infrastructure requirements, resilience and complaints about council functions.
Services provided elsewhere
Greenhaven Council does not currently provide Council Tax, statutory social care, NHS services, waste, highways, housing, trading standards, environmental health, immigration, nationality, operational policing or fire and rescue. Those services remain with the public body responsible for them.
If several organisations are involved
Some local issues involve more than one public body. The information on this website identifies which organisation leads each part where that division is known. Greenhaven Council's involvement does not transfer another authority's powers to the council.
If you are still unsure
You can use the general contact route for a Greenhaven information enquiry. Where another organisation is responsible, the response can identify that organisation and the reason the matter sits elsewhere.
